A warm invitation to a new milonga-series!

Now, the PINA BAUSCH CENTER (PBZ), together with the organizers of the Rhine-Ruhr Tango Festival, is providing a new outdoor dance space for the summer of 2025.

We will host seven summer milongas here through September, offering new experiences for the PBZ, tango dancers, and tango enthusiasts. These milongas will feature 50% classical tango and 50% neotango music (modern tangos, electro, contemporaneo, world music, nontango). We continue to place great importance on providing space for today's tango-musicians and keeping the barriers to entry low.
Therefore, there is no admission charge, but donations are requested for the musicians and organization.

Grand opening milonga!

The grand opening milonga will take place on Wednesday, June 11th, starting at 6:00 p.m. with live music from the Orquesta Atipica TANGORRA feat. Eliana Sosa. We are proud to present the only TANGORRA concert with Eliana Sosa in North Rhine-Westphalia. Eliana is one of the most distinguished singers and frontwomen of contemporary tango. Her collaboration with TANGORRA is fascinating and was an absolute highlight at the last Electrotango Festival in Buenos Aires. DJ Tango21, a proven performer at festivals and milongas in Buenos Aires (Bilongon, Electrotango Festival), Bremen (NeoTangoRave), Düsseldorf, and Arnhem (NL), will provide the non-live music.

If it rains, we will dance in the foyer of the PINA BAUSCH CENTER under construction.
Free entry, but the hat goes around for artists and organization.
